A Chance to Win a Disney Vacation

for a Family of Four

Contest Rules

  1. Subject to the applicable legislation, these rules govern all aspects of the “A Chance to Win Disney Vacation for a Family of Four” contest (the “Contest”) and are binding upon all participants.

  2. The Contest is organized by Children’s Education Funds Inc. (the “Contest Organizer”) and will run in Canada (all provinces except Quebec) from March 1, 2011 until December 12, 2011 at 5:00 pm (Eastern Time). The Draw will occur on December 16 at 4:00 pm (Eastern time) and all entries must have been received by the Contest Organizer not later than December 12, 2011 at 5:00 pm (Eastern Time).

  3. The Contest is open to residents of all Canadian provinces and territories (except Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, with the exception of employees, agents, sales representatives and branch managers of the Contest Organizer, their affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies as well as their legal or common law spouse, the members of their immediate families (including brothers, sisters and any person who resides in the same household).

  4. Participants may enter the Contest by completing the online ballot form or by mailing an original handwritten text of 100 words that explains the value of post-secondary education to “A Chance to Win a Disney Vacation for a Family of Four Contest” c/o Marketing, Children’s Education Funds Inc., 3221 North Service Road, Burlington, Ontario, L7N 3G2. The text must include the participant’s full name, age of children to travel, complete address including postal code, telephone number with area code, and email address. On receipt by the Contest Organizer of the text containing all the necessary information, the participant will automatically be entered in the Contest. No purchase is necessary.

  5. The following prize will be awarded:

    One (1) trip to either the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida or the Disneyland Resort in California (depending on the province of residence of the contest winner) for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) valued at $5,000 maximum. Certain conditions apply.

    If the winner lives in the province of Ontario or east of it (excluding the province of Quebec), the trip will be to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. If the winner lives in the province of Manitoba or west of it, the trip will be to the Disneyland Resort in California.

    Reservations are necessary and the departure is subject to availability. The prize is valid for travel during the year of 2012 only and cannot be redeemed for cash. There may be restrictions on travel dates.

  6. On December 16, 2011, at 4:00 pm the draw will take place at the Contest Organizer’s Head Office located at 3221 North Service Road, Burlington, Ontario, L7N 3G2. The Contest Organizer will select one (1) entry at random from all entries received in compliance with these rules throughout the contest period in order to award the specified prize.

    The chance of winning depends on the number of entries received.

  7. In order to be declared contest winner, the participant whose entry is selected at random must be contacted by the Contest Organizer on or before December 23, 2011, correctly answer a skill-testing question, and complete and sign a Declaration and Liability Waiver Form when taking possession of the prize. If the selected participant fails to meet these conditions or any other condition set out in these rules, he or she will be disqualified and a new draw will be held in compliance with these rules until such time as a participant is selected and declared the contest winner.

  8. The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and may not be transferred to another person. The contest winner agrees to sign a Declaration and Liability Waiver Form accepting responsibility for, among other things, any tax liability arising from acceptance of the prize. The Form must be returned within 3 days of receiving it.

  9. The participant selected to receive the prize holds the Contest Organizer, its employees, sales representatives, branch managers and agents harmless from all liability for any damages the participant may incur in relation to the acceptance or use of the contest prize and undertakes to sign a statement to that effect included in the Declaration and Liability Waiver Form.

  10. All contest entries become the property of the Contest Organizer. Participants may be contacted by telephone as part of the Contest Organizer’s marketing efforts. Through their participation in the Contest, all participants acknowledge and consent to this contact with the Contest Organizer for marketing purposes.

  11. Any person who participates of tries to participate in this contest illegitimately will be automatically disqualified.

  12. Through his or her participation in the Contest, the winner authorizes the Contest Organizer or its representatives to use the winner’s name and/or photos for publicity purposes and without any form of compensation.

  13. All decisions by the Contest Organizer or its representatives regarding this contest are final and without appeal.
